IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
1) Termination notice for dismissal:
If you have received a termination notice, German law requires that all complaints must be filed with the Labour Court within three weeks from the day you received the notice. Therefore, it is important to contact an employment lawyer as soon as possible.
2) Unemployment benefits
If you have received a termination notice, you should register as a job seeker with the Employment Agency within three days of receiving the notice or within three months before the end of the termination period. It is important to register as soon as possible, or you could risk losing benefits for one week.
It’s usually best to discuss the particulars of your case in person.
